Phishing scams are getting trickier to spot, so it’s not surprising when an employee accidentally falls for one. These emails can look like they’re from someone you trust, but they’re actually designed to steal your info. It’s important to teach employees how to spot and avoid these threats to keep your business safe.

EMAIL SECURITY BEST PRACTICES

Always

Make sure to double-check the sender’s email address in the ‘From’ field. Sometimes it can be fake!

Watch out for sneaky attachments with double extensions, like ‘safe.txt.exe’. It might look safe, but it’s not!

If you get any sketchy emails, make sure to let your IT help desk know.

Note that www.microsoft.com and www.microsoft.software.com are two different domains. (and only the first is real)
